Ellison's intros for any book are a treat. I recently read Bruce Sterling's Involution Ocean and Harlan's intro to the book is worth the price of the book alone.

I'm a little over half finished The Beast That Shouted Love at the Heart of the World. I'm trying to savour it a bit but it's hard not to just plow through the whole thing.

I'm a little over half finished The Beast That Shouted Love at the Heart of the World. I'm trying to savour it a bit but it's hard not to just plow through the whole thing.

The introduction he ever wrote was the one in his collection Angry Candy where talk about and lamented and about all his dearest friends a number of whom were writers who had passed on is heartbreaking After that, my reading increased dramatically and that's also the point where I began to recommend books and stories that I read and I liked.

Ive seen a new edition of Dangerous Visions and another book Harlan Ellis's Greatest Hits in the bookstore.

I've not read any of Ellison's work, yet he's an author i hear so much about. I have "I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream" in my TBR pile. I shall read it soon. I swear.

His classic story I Have no Mouth But I Must Scream. Is a vicious and twisted tale . it was also made into equally vicious and twisted computer game.
