I feel so sorry for you mate. You're a brilliant writer. @Boneman . Don't let this put you down. Angry Robot said they were looking for a "diverse" author to continue success from their previous competition. You were in for a long time, so take that as a credit and a good sign, they saw something in your stuff that they considered valuable. But at the end, as it's always, form rejection.

They must be REALLY backlogged! I submitted near the end of January and it still says, received. Next week at Worldcon in Kansas City, should I drop by their booth in the dealer's room and offer a box of chocolates?

While at Worldcon last month, I got my very polite decline email from Angry Robot. So sad but I understand.
