but i agree, in the grand scheme of the universe, i don't think we can be classed as great warriors

Ahh, but we're looking at us in the here and now, if we were looking at now as just a drop in the vast expanse of time, who is to say that in millennia we will not be great warriors.

And the Time Lord's being Lords of Time look us in that way...

But the prophecy was made of Doctor being descendant of a warrior race, but not of Doctor creating that rep for us.

Perhaps, but Doctor had jumped ahead of time as much as possible and we saw that too. There was nothing even then to imply and no rumours were mentioned of humans as a warrior race, just a race of survivors.

hmmm, thinking further on the matter, there actually has been a half human doctor in the past - when Donna created one when the Earth was stolen. that doctor was supposedly sent to an alternate universe to be with Rose but, but, but what if the Doctor actually sent himself, as he was in love with Rose, and so the half human Doctor was left in this universe to carry on... unless i'm remembering that wrong

Not possible. The one who went with Rose had only one life and only one heart (both were explicitly stated). He wouldn't be able to regenerate into Eleventh.

I have always hoped that our Human destiny was not to become great warriors, just great.

With knowledge of only our past and present to consider, it seems safe to say that without the Doctor's intervention as our champion, Earth would be in fierce competition with Tivoli for the coveted title of "Most Conquered Planet in the Galaxy."

Roll out the welcoming red carpet for our successive overlords!


If the Doctor should one day abandon Earth, we may be forced to go to Plan B. That would be this family.

They have. When Tenth is saying goodbye at the Bad Wolf bay. They make a point of it saying he only has one life to live as he will grow old and then die. It is why Doctor wants him to stay with Rose. I need to look up the full clip.
