Discussion Thread -- December 2015 75-word Writing Challenge

There are some great little stories in there. I notice a lot of people write every sentence or most sentences on a new line even if there is no speech. They are not usually new paragraphs so is this just to make it easier to read?

for me, that one sentence quite often started out as a whole paragraph before it got whittled down, so in the sense of the story i started to write, it's still a paragraph.

plus, visually, i don't think a story that is written as a single paragraph has the same effect as one that is spaced out more - not saying one or t'other is better, just that they have different effects.

Tim (Naugh… good…. Naughty, no good…. Naughty.. goo Arrgh who cares anyway?)

Gonk the Insane (Naughty) – Well if ever there was a story that summed up the old adage ‘Be careful what you wish for you might just get it’ this is it.

Alex (Good – a pair of fluffy pink slippers) – A timey-wimey story that sees catastrophe adverted by the very person who caused it. If he listens that is.

mosaix (NAUGHTY!) – Well I never did, with my naïve innocence I do not really understand this story, but I have the feeling that there may be some very improper undertones here. Better safe than sorry, straight off the list!

hopewrites (Good – A Hammer) – Well, what can be said other than a truly shocking tale, as the Inquisition get more than they expected and truths are electrifyingly revealed.

DG (Naughty) – It would seem that no matter what the backing those naughty punk types can still cause an uproar with their cacophonous sound and rebellious songs.

Judderman (Good – a laced pillow) – There are many things that could be said about this little tale, but the most important is that it is nice to see the turkey get the upperhand, and for some reason the, ‘Oh I say!’ made me giggle.

Glen (Good - a Naughty Nanny Doll) – Oh my! What do people expect when they glimpse the future? It’s hardly ever going to be what is hoped, if lucky it won’t be a disappointment. Or inexplicable.

johnnyjet (Good – How could it not be? A train set) – Now the greatest of toys become even more exciting, not only can they do the impossible, but they can touch on the stuff of legend.

HazelRah (Good – A box of handkerchiefs) – Ouch, some stories there are not enough words for, and this one is such, delivering a final line that is a real punch to the gut.

I'm in, I'm in!
It's not the story I wanted to tell... I actually wrote three for this month, and spent almost a week trying to decide between them. In the end, I think the fourth story was the one I really liked. Shame I didn't write that one
So I've gone for my second favourite, although possibly the least happiest.

Great genre/theme though! And I love all the Christmassy stories being written (y)

All the stories coming in are really wonderful! HazelRah, I really like yours! :) Looks to be a rewarding month of reading, CC
