Discussion thread -- January 2016 75-word Writing Challenge

Chrispy, I'm curious to know if I first submitted during one of those 'famous' months. I was on the forums for some time before I found the writing challenges.
Your first 75 word challenge was in May 2013. A good month for newcomers, with seven new enchallengèd - of whom four did only that one submission.
But if that ever changes, let me know.

I'm in. I was a bit stumped this month. Anyway, onwards and upwards, as they say....

I was getting to be a trifle anxious at the abscence of our official 'whip', or at least zap gun. How is one to maintain discipline without both the carrot and the stick?

Which is a nice way of telling me I've been slacking off. And Chrispy is of course 101% right (He is GOD after all)(And yes, there is a religion with one minion/supplicant so far, if I count!)(more minions and supplicants are of course welcome, as long as I get to be the High Priest and dress up in funny clothes (any excuse)).

Bowler1 stands to with his RAY GUN ready and stares with menace... pulling a really, really mean looking face to put the fear of Chrispy into everyone.

Moon Town

Memories. Relentless in seeding themselves. Fertile be the mind..

I hurried along picking the lilies. The petals were translucent pulsating a radiant spectrum of color due to the distress of being clipped.

A zephyr caressed my senses as resin ran down my blade. The resin would give her hair a soft luminescence, but only at moon up.

Wake up Executor-Marshal. Your colt is ready to be presented at town hall..

A garden be the mind.

"Moon Town"

Cmon in, man. Cmon.

Moved this to discussion thread, rather than in the submission thread. Chrispy

Howdy, Kinda looks like Miss Victoria let her hair down for this go-round of re-views, I LIKE IT !
Thank you Miss Victoria

Starbeast, thank you for the kind words, much appreciated pardner. Keep up the good work.

Obviously I've been very quiet over the last few weeks, I apologize for leaving the comments to Victoria this month, but things have just got really hectic, doing three different jobs, looking after a sick wife, sick kid and sick mother. Not to mention trying to celebrate a 100th birthday (not my own!)

I've got a story, but it's not that good, if I don't come up with anything else I'll post simply not to miss a month!

I always reckoned only Gypsies and the like could tell yer fortune, using them funny-lookin' cards, but Grimward made me think maybe other folks could do it too, natural-like.

Kerrybuchanan made us all hold our breath with an excitin' tale of gunslingers, straight out of one of them dime novels.

They's some mighty peculiar critters out there in the dark, and Bowler1 made us all glad the sun was out.

At first I thought Alex Darion was jawin' a serious yarn about shootists, but I shoulda knowed it was all in fun.

I've been out of these challenges for the last few months (too much life in the way), but I'm determined to make more time for fun stuff, so I'm back with an entry. Who could resist such a brilliant theme and genre?

Nice to have you back Kerrybuchanan. We all get busy, take your time, we'll wait for you.

Howdy Tim. No worries my friend, just take care of your family. Nothing in the galaxy is more precious then the ones you love.

@Grimward As I gaze into my crystal ball, I see with my glass eye, good things about your tale.

@Kerrybuchanan Gunshot hair styles always makes me think of Moe Howard. Nicely trimmed entry.

@Bowler1 Yes!!! A Skin-walker story. I love it. You zapped me between my brain lobes.

@Alex Darion Firstly, nice to meet you. And second, I likes gunslinger tales. Plus you ended it with a zinger.

I don't know if you'd call it inspiration, I'm calling it a drunken prank by my muse... So far all I've got is some mash up of Hair the musical and Rapunzel being played out by jackalops while that song plays in the background, you know the old rock song that goes "give me a head with hair, long beautiful hair, shinin' gleaming' (something) flaxen waxen"

No idea how to put it into any words, let alone 75 that make sense together.

 Ooops. Sorry hope!

The dangers of writing before one reads...

Not worthy of either of your attention, Victoria and SB, but thank you for the kind words.:)

First read done. No clue about voting, as per usual, but still chuckling over the frayed knot...

Sorry, completely stumped this month. I don't think I'll be posting anything unless some miraculous inspiration strikes! But I'm thoroughly enjoying reading everyone else's entries. :)
