Finding a place to write

Disconnecting the internet and apps is an excellent idea for conductive writing! I really should do that. I have been trying really hard to stay away from FB and have done well so far, but damn! There are still too many other things to distract me.

Some of you mentioned playing instrumental music. Sometimes I find it helpful, but most of the time I find it distracting.

And most of you mentioned a quiet place in your house. That works for me too, but I've also found that by going to the local coffee shop/cafe that I stay more focused because I don't want to look lazy. I also find that when I work at this cafe, I don't play solitaire as much. :p

I'm liking how words fit around family for so many on here because they have to.
Can't be too precious about time and place in this house. I have finally learned to use the quiet/free time with ruthless wordcount precision. Earplugs are saved for coffee shops and the library (?!?) when the chaos and work words refuse to give in usually when summer holidays clash with deadlines.

Q, I hope the book isn't like this

Spence ducked under the swinging girder, twisting sharply as the loose wires coffee cupped around him. 'Down boy,' he called to Leah, who was drawing with crayons on the wall. The Bachelor would be coming for them any time, and he didn't want to be there when he arrived.

Now I'm kinda hoping it is!

You've read it already ratsy! Hope you enjoyed the twist at the end where the mc's wife rescues him using a box of washing powder, a rope dog toy and three nappies.

Heating on full? I need to be kept cool, or my head bursts into flame.
