I finished! It's a really solid book, ratsy; I really enjoyed it - congrats to all involved. And there are a number of real standouts (including a nice selection of stories from our Chrons writers!). Thanks Cats. I'm really glad you liked it. I was more of the set-up guy, and tried to keep the flow, and Dusty was the ever-awesome fine tooth comb when it was written. It was a good pairing The authors are the real reason the book is a good read!

Puzzlement can be ok -- and I'm not just saying that because people have expressed puzzlement about my story, too -- you're the only one specifically mentioned by name, and with "damn, I like his style" attached. Take it and run.

Yeah, I reached out to a couple Haunted House specific places for reviews. I thought it would be a little more focused than horror only (though i did those too)

He did a great job, and spent some serious effort on the blog. It was really nice to see. And you could tell that he read the whole book and it resonated with him, which is always good to see. Dusty noted to me that the prompt I gave the authors was not that far off what we do all the time with our challenge stories. That was an interesting point. The Chrons is great for us on many levels!

I haven't read all the stories in the book but so far am very impressed at the quality of writing. A good mix of suspense and thrilling tales, and short enough reads to keep you interested. I also liked the way the stories seemed to have some connection which made the book flow nicely, I think that a considerable amount of thought had gone into the production of the book as well as the individual tales. I think this book would appeal to a large age range from young adults onwards, I'm looking forward to my next visit to the Lake Manor Hotel

Thank you to everyone who has bought Lake Manor. The promo week was quite a success I think. Hit #1 in the UK at one point for Horror Anthologies, and topped out at #2 on the US, sitting as the Top New Release in the category all week. Now I hope the reviews come in from the sales. We have 4 on the US and 4 on UK so they are coming! We are also consistently having copies read on the lending service, so the more reads the better chance we get some reviews.
