Game of Thrones: 6.06 - Blood of My Blood

Is it possible that the face of hte Waif we have been seeing isn't the 'real' waif, and there's someone else lurking underneath? Come on Syrio!

I think the Waif is in trouble if Arya is her test.

Too bad Sam got the boot from his home. That is a sweet crib.

a good episode i thought

good to see samwell show some backbone, even if it was a "steal the family heirloom and run away" kind of backbone

loved the twist with tommen and margaery. can't quite believe margaery isn't just playing along though. but things are certainly interesting in kings landing at the moment.

the dothraki scenes were a bit pointless, but then i find a lot of dany's scenes are.

arya's decision not to kill the actress was a nice little twist as well and it will be interesting to see what happens there. but something does need to happen as it's getting a bit slow. i would love for her to kill the waif and then have jaqen say "now a girl must kill everyone on arya stark's list". not too likely though

the benjen reveal was a bit of a let down. maybe because to most it was already pretty obvious. or maybe because it came the episode after "hold the door" and nothing could compare with that.

i'm not sure just how they are going to tie everything up in the episodes they have left.

One issue with her story is that she seems to be the only character in the series that is untouchable, so there is less audience concern over her, in that you can't ever see her being killed except just maybe in the finale. Maybe Jon Snow is now too but at least he was killed once so has had some shocks in his storyline.

Also I thought having Richard E Grant as one of the Braavos show actors was fantastic. Obviously it is a role he has played before such as in Withnail and I, but no one will do it better.

i think also she is so far removed from westeros that her story just doesn't have any effect on the rest of the multiple storylines so she feels a bit detached from, well, everything.

and i agree on Richard E Grant. it's like he just dropped in to show everyone proper acting.

I wonder if we will see more of him. There was quite a big setup with the acting troupe for them to not be mentioned again

Maybe Arya will join the troup and hide with them while she escapes and travels. Didn't Tyrion do something similar in the books after he killed his Father?

God I hope not - we have enough story lines treading water as it is!

After watching ep 7, I no longer think we will see any more of Richard E Grant

After all, Lovejoy got hanged.

Tarly aren't minor nobility, I think of them as the 3rd most powerful Reach House. Behind the Tyrells and Florents. I'll admit that castle still seemed rather big though.

Randyll Tarly is a powerful lord in the books. I always thought of the Tarlys as one rung down from the Great Families.
