The High Sparrow considers another target; Jaime confronts a hero; Arya makes a plan; memories are awakened in the North.

Another great episode with lots of development, some wonderful interactions between parties:

  • Cersei and Olenna: Boy those cats can miaow! I still think that Cersei actually wants the Tyrell's gone, but maybe I'm reading too much into this. Still, the barbs that were thrown around in this dialogue were delightful, particularly when Olenna lays out the truth about Cersei's situation (or what she believe it to be).
  • Jon / Davos / Sansa and the Mormonts: Wow, great work from the actress who played the young heir of Bear Island. Hard as nails that one, even at her age I wouldn't want to cross her in any way. Glad to see though that it didn't all go their way (aka the Glovers), looks like Sansa is reaching out to someone, assume Littlefinger but who knows with this show!
  • Clegane and Meribald: Not so sure that the dialogue was as good in this one, but still got the point across (although they couldn't have been more subtle if they had tried), surprised they offed Meribald so quickly, given who was playing him, but that's GoT for you. Where does Clegane go now, after the brotherhood, back to KL? Cleganebowl anyone...?
  • Arya and Captain: Arya sure held her own booking passage, although the Waif made things somewhat problematic. Wasn't sure where the Iron Born (well Yara / Theon) were, thought it might have been Braavos (although geographically that's almost impossible), but if it was supposed to be there, maybe Arya gets a lift...? Otherwise I wonder if she will get help from the actors...
  • Jaime and Bronn: Ah, like a well-loved dirty mag, Bronn is back! I still can't believe how brilliantly he is played by Jerome Flynn (especially as last time I saw Jerome was in Soldier Soldier, a very different character), but I do worry that Bronn could go at any moment, he keeps getting put in danger's way, and he can't keep avoiding it every time can he? Jaime certainly muscled his way past the Frey's but it looks like Blackfish is going to be tougher to get past. Maybe the intervention of Brienne (assuming she arrives at some point) will change things.

I howled, literally and appropriately, at the return of the Hound. I would have bet good money that he survived. The Brotherhood had better start praying to their Lord of Light. The Hound and his axe are coming to take their revenge.
Cripes! I thought HBO had struck again when the Waif started carving up Arya. How could she not be suspicious at the approach of any stranger, knowing what she did about her former associates?
Multiple stab wounds and a blade twist in the gut are going to require serious medical attention and/or magic if Arya is going to make her boat in the morning. I also thought she might get help from the actress who owes her.
Not a lot of Samaritans among the general Braavos population, apparently. They probably know better than to interfere with a botched assassination.
I assume Arya is going to survive, or the writers would have had the Waif finishing the job.

When the Hound came back, I was like: "WHHHHHHAAAAT?"

And then when Margery saved her grand mother I was like, "Yeah, I knew she was playin'....."

When Arya was attacked I was like, "She'll be back..."

That Glover dude reasoning is kinda flawed, so the Bolton betrayed Robb leading to the death of his brother, and partially to invasion of the ironborn. (the ironborn would prob. have invaded the north even if Roose didn't betray Robb, but with Robb alive they wouldn't have stood much of a chance really.) So sticking with the dudes that are just as much the reason, if not more him and his people suffered seems faulty. Basically the glover just wanted to stick with what he presumes is the winning side. Pretty sure if Jon/Sana had won more (important) houses to their cause before meeting him he would have joined them. Not that he needs to join them, cause really house Stark will so forgive the Glovers for not keeping their oaths cause you know the others are coming and stuff. I'm guessing we can say goodbye to the awesome manderly's and probably the Great Northern Conspiracy in the show. Unless the Smalljon is the mastermind in the shows.

My guess is Sansa letter will have been send to Littlefinger. After all it's not like they can just show the knight of the Vale marching to moat cailin, and then have them march back doing nothing... It's too pointless, and it leaves Littlefinger with no real plot to continue. Brienne will be send to the Blackfish and again, judging from the promo trailer my guess is the Tully will hand over Riverrun as in the books, but instead of disbanding their army, march it straight up to winterfell to join Jon/Sansa in the show is my guess. My guess: Fight of Winterfell wil start with Jon unaware of Sansa politics attacking winterfell. Just when stuff seem unwinnable, the joined forces of Riverrun and the Vale will come.

Arya will survive, and judging from the promo trailer of next week episode go after the waif in retaliation. I guess you can only wit in the dark for the waif to show up before getting bored of it. Guess the scene with Arya from last week was just to show her resolve and show she know the FM are coming for her.

Three cheers for the Hound!

Arya should be dead after the stabbing. Perhaps her previous drink from the Temple helped her out. Though she will need some more help.

This was one of the best episodes this season. No coincidence that it wasn't weighed down by scenes with Meereen, Sam and Gilly, or at Dorne.

With both of the Ironbound sides aimed for Meereen and with Jon Snow's little army heading south things are starting to come together.

But was it Arya who was stabbed?

(Had she concealed a face saver up her sleeve...?)

From open compound leg fracture to not even a limp - The Hound has awesome healing powers! Perhaps that's why he's so difficult to kill? :)

Oh, apparently he was limping, and I just wasn't paying attention. Carry on ¬_¬

Was it only me thoroughly underwhelmed by the return of Cleggy Mountbatten?
And a grand WTF? for the GOT appearance of Lovejoy - how much money did Mc Shane get for that?
Best bit for me was the conversation between Theon and his saucy minx sister!
A real sludgy episode for me and I am sick of seeing the 'I choose violence' clip - when?
It's not XFactor...
