I'd also suggest a common ground agreement. It should outline what you've both agreed to do, what you've both already done and what your bringing to the table. Not just on the work you've produced but all aspects of who's doing what from promotion to money handling. It doesn't have to be drawn up by a solicitor but like other have mentioned further up, it protects both your work and your respective interests in the long term when life happens to get in the way.
