I got a Star Trekky type thing, unfortunately it was only first couple of chapters of a longer work.
Clearly the mystery author has seen my whining in here about stories stopping halfway through and thought "Ha, now is the time to prank McGuinness!".
It was a good space mystery tale as well

I haven’t actually finished it, am halfway through, but it is very good. Ottershaw is a great character, and I think the world holding is fabulous.
