I found the treatment of the alien women a little meh. But, mostly, I think these sort of things (like Rocket and the leg) are seen as him being an arse. That's certainly the way my kids seen it.

Added to that, the reason he's not called out on it much is because pretty much all of the Guardians are dicks, with the possible exception of Groot. And even then I'm not sure.

That's definitely the way I see it, the whole setup is just a way to show what RR can be like. I think it's actually deeper than him just being a douche, RR is a pretty traumatized individual who constantly acts out in dangerous ways. He is a seriously unstable and hurt individual and out of all of the Guardians his tale is the worst. I always felt sorry for RR. Soft spot for anthropomorphized weapon toting raccoons.

At least you didn't insult the writer then, but you do know it isn't Rocket's fault. It is just the way he's written.
