Angry Robot 2017 Open Door for Unagented Authors

I can't decide whether or not to do this. So little time, and I haven't finished editing the blasted thing, as I got horribly distracted by a crime novel that's leaving corpses scattered everywhere. I suppose I could send in what I've done so far and cobble together a synopsis. It won't get past the first stage anyway, I'm sure.

Don't. Really, just don't. If you get an agent in the future you'll have taken AR off the table for something you know isn't ready

Have to agree with Jo on this one - don't. Save it for the next open door. This open door is the first time I've seen them ask for the full novel, which makes me suspicious that they've been burnt by a promising novel that didn't deliver.

OK I'm in. I need to write a damn synopsis, so I might be begging for help here in the next couple of weeks!

Ah, the fast track... I've been slogging away at the synopsis for the last month or more. As for the one-line summary...

I got my rejection today. :(

Sorry to hear Biskit...... Sending the regulatory imaginary chocolate consolations - in your case decorated in the Cornish Tartan! (Well, us Cornish (by marriage in my case) cats have to stick together!)

According to Absolutewrite thread, Angry Robot have received 500 submissions at the halfway mark of this open door. So I reckon they're heading for a similar number of submissions as in the previous open door c. 1300.

The SffChroners Table for this open window now looks like:

Brev Subbed 7th Nov. or before
Scarfy Subbed 8th Nov. or before.
Biskit Subbed 14th Nov. Rejected 3rd Dec.

and maybe Martin Gill who is busy writing his synopsis!

If I have missed anyone, please post here... I'll add to the list.
