That sounds like The Land that Time Forgot. 1975 Staring Douglas McClure . The films screenplay was cowritten by Michael Moorcock . I think was American International that produced the film along with sequel The People that Time Forgot. I suspect , they also did At the Earth's Core with Doug McClure and Peter Cushing . And Possibly Warlords from Atlantis , though Im unsure this.
