Discussion Thread -- September 2018 75-word Writing Challenge

I voted for @LittleStar 's sad-but-smart tale.

Runner up was @D3athw4lker for ruining my childhood.

Other notables:
The Judge - Great story that nailed the genre
TheDustyZebra - Most unique code of the month
Peter V - I thought you captured Bond's voice perfectly with the quip
Victoria Silverwolf - I had to look up Mata Hari, thanks for the history lesson
dannymcg - I think we shared about 80% of our plots ;)

I trained in Capoeira, nix; let me know if you need me to er, even the scores, with Danny ;)

I'll let him have that one, seeing as I removed his grockle's ability to suck brains, scuppered his attempts to destroy harpo and hoops, likely let Wally bite him and probably caused brain damage when I've zapped him.
I'll likely use your services in future someone is bound to annoy me :D

My vote went to @Phyrebrat
Runner-up @Pedro Del Mar

I'm afraid I find it difficult to appreciate the light touch of this genre as, for me, the whole international spying caper fills me with revulsion, and I feel great sadness for all those involved in it.

Many thanks to @Parson and @Victoria Silverwolf for the reviews. I was particularly impressed by Victoria's use of code.

Thanks also to @M. Robert Gibson for providing the means to decipher the code.
