Discussion Thread -- September 2018 75-word Writing Challenge

Dirty, @Abernovo – A cunning spy gradually works their way up the hierarchy. It’s not a cuckoo in the nest but a chameleon.
Thank you, @Shyrka. Or, perhaps I should say: the birds fly quietly over the water. ;)

Still waiting for the one brave enough to post his/her entry for this month encoded.

L.E. and give use the key when the vote has ended :)

Shot and Stabbed, @M. Robert Gibson – A story of two aptly-named spies sent to kill one another. Whoever gives out the codenames at their agency really needs a thesaurus.

Dirty, @Abernovo – A cunning spy gradually works their way up the hierarchy. It’s not a cuckoo in the nest but a chameleon.

Straight Shot, @RJM Corbet – A familiar face takes a break from shooting the bad guys to shoot the breeze instead.

Of Cyborgs and Samurai, @Parson –Ironically, having destroyed those that yearned for the past, the subject of this near-future tale of old-meets-new ends up yearning for it themselves.

Sleeper, @Peter V – A dark twist on a classic hero from pop culture. He always was something of a lady killer...

Pop! @D3athw4lker – The hero risks everything in this gritty re-imagining of a quintet of amateur sleuths. Some people will do anything to be famous!

Reality Bites, @Pedro Del Mar – A would-be executioner contemplates how they have missed their aims even as they take aim themselves.

Thanks Shyrka

Thank you Victoria but I’m very short of time at the minute and had to seriously rush my entry this month.
Would anyone be kind enough to PM me what this translates to please?

"This intense psychological character study skillfully conveys the eternal conflict between duty and conscience."

And you owe me a biscuit. ;)

@Shyrka .... Spy Shots .... The Shy One tells a tale of a photographer who got a bang out of his work; just not the one he was hoping for.

@mosaix .... Tomorrow Always Comes.... Mosaix twists a classic spy tale to give it an ending that is ultimately true for everyone.

Thanks, Victoria. You never fail to come up with the goods.

Frequency distribution in English (although not all the time) would normally give ETAISON as the most frequently occurring letters. In my review they were TIEASON. Fairly close I suppose for a small piece if text.

I'm in! First attempt went for comedy (Aus vs NZ referencing the Emu Wars) but fell a bit flat. Second attempt posted now.
