Just noticed this new book apparently due out October 2019: The Culture: Notes and Drawings by Iain M Banks along with his long time friend Ken MacLeod. With annotated drawings by Banks it could be interesting for long time Culture fans like myself!

I'd heard about this some time ago but haven't heard any news. This is one of those immediate hardcover buys. I can't believe we still have to wait almost another year for this.

Absolutely. I'm sure he would have given us a few standalone books in between more Culture.

Banks would have found him a source of much amusement, but probably wouldn't have given him any real consideration.

If you read his book, Raw Spirit, you'll find a number os scathing remarks about George W. Bush. I can't imagine he'd give The Donald any easier treatment.

I'm just bumping this. Any news on the release? I have looked on line and can see it on Amazon for preorder, but there are no cover photos as yet.

As I understand it, it has been put back from October this year, not sure to when. I could be wrong and mixed this book up with another.

FantasticFiction now has the hardback scheduled for February 2020.
