The Black Sea flood hypothesis as the cradle of ancient civilizations. They say the Black Sea was a fresh water lake and some time in the past 7.5k BC the land mass between Mediterranean Sea and Black Sea collapsed and the fertile low lands around the fresh water lake were flooded with salty water, forcing the inhabitants to scatter over three continents.

At this point there are very few indices to support this theory, but it is for the better because it will not force you to stay inside well known historical facts.
