Books that I have read more than twice.

Catch 22 by Joseph Heller.
One of my favourite books, but I have not felt any urge to reread it, which is curious. Never really thought about it before. Similarly the brilliant Confederacy of Dunces. Both are complex and slightly uncomfortable comedies which made a big impression.

I suppose my rereads are for familiarity and enjoyment, and I dont really need to try to relive the more profound books for a second time.

The Hobbit and LOTR when I was young.
UNDER THE VOLCANO by Malcolm Lowry.

1984.
A Confederacy of Dunces.
The Art of War.
DOC SAVAGE: Bio, Phillip Jose Farmer.

MORE than twice? That's not many for me. These are the only ones that spring to mind currently:

The Time Machine by H. G. Wells
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

Just about everything by Sir Terry Pratchett [except Nation - never felt the need to go back to that]
Everything by Tony Hillerman - great sparse crime writing
