The basic element in mine was a film, structured (evidently) Gothic. So the music has to be structured to integrate with the movie, and, typically for horror movies, needed a couple of scenes with pipe organ music for the ambience - but generally cinema soundstages don't have pipe organs, so music is recorded in a church (with acoustic damping to reduce the reverberation on the more standard instruments), and this is structured as a place of worship, not of entertainment. So I attempted to structure my verse to carry all these multiple layers…
