DISCUSSION THREAD March 2020 75-Word Challenge

@reiver33 .... Tipping Point .... Reiver draws our attention to the fact that a transformed life is not the same as the old life.

@Guttersnipe .... "Barren Flesh" .... G. Snipe brings us into a transformation which is unwanted, dangerous, surrising, and frustrating.

@nixie .... Never take a handy parking space at face value .... Nixie shows us a land transformed into Eden, but is this a good thing?

@Karn's Return - I must admit, I find this one open to multiple interpretations; any one of which is curiously enticing.

Oh, I definitely had a thought process in mind when I put this one together, despite the fact that I was higher than Falcon X when I wrote it... XD Let's just say that anymore, I really don't know how many people on here would understand where my initial inspiration for it came from...

By the way...anyone caring to guess what I'm really talking about with my entry, go ahead. XD I can't confirm or deny anything until the end of the month, after voting, though.

Last edited:
@Peter V .... The Lamentable Tale of Dodgy Roger .... Peter tells us a cautionary tale where the punishment could be considered a parable for how much of modern justice works for the powerful and those less so.

@mosaix .... I Do What!? ,,,, Mosaix made me laugh when he brings out the downside of a transformation we've all heard about.

@chrispenycate .... Mentalmorphosis .... Chris has us give a thought about the question of who would really want to be an empath.

@AstroZon .... Sarabhai .... Zon reminds us of the transformation technical innovation can make in a life, or not.

Well, I am in. Woke up (too early) with an idea and thought I better catch hold of it while I could.
I read "catch hold" as "catch cold." I must be hearing too much about the Covid 19 panic.

-----------

@Teresa Edgerton ..... Love Thy Neighbor .... Teresa blesses us with a most wonderful and unexpected transformation.

@Ian Fortytwo .... I challenge anyone to kill me .... Ian draws us cleverly into the world of the small and deadly transformations.

@sule .... What Remains of Narcissus .... Sule tells a sad tale of love which transformed into loss.

I'm used (in the Dutch-speaking world) to the phrase 'Opus Magnum". So, I was a bit amazed to learn that in English it was 'Magnum Opus'.
Apparently, it can be both in Latin. Now, that's a language I like!
Either way, my entry is in.

My entry is in. A little gentle humor this time.

Announcement: As of Feb. 1, 2020, I am fully retired from my career in process automation. My plan after retirement was that I would focus more of my time on my writing, which has always been a part time endeavor. However, I still find my time gets filled up with other things. Oh well, we'll see what happens...

Congrats on the retirement, Johnny. It’s 12 years since I ‘decided to take it easy’. Wish I’d done it when I left school.

Congratulations on the retirement, @johnnyjet! I wonder how exclusive our club is - retirees who write for these Challenges?

I hope you find more time to write, soon. I think I'm actually busier now that I'm retired. ;)

Congratulations @johnnyjet!
Here's another retiree doing these challenges. I'm glad I discovered this board and the challenges, exactly when I needed it.
My first few months as retiree were a bit slow, getting accustomed I guess, but right now I'm quite busy. But in a good, relaxed way.
