The Mandalorian - Chapter Eleven - The Heiress

Because it's the right thing to do?

It was not right thing to do, and when they realised it, it was all too late. I know that you've seen the same thing as I did. Anakin did run after Ashoka after the Jedi Council passed their judgement and decided to not give Ashoka masters. So, she left and didn't really look back, because her own moral compass was showing her right direction.

Ezra almost slipped into the dark side, because Kanan was inadequate to train him fully and he kind of allowed Old Man Maul to influence the padawan. The fans of movies don't know the whole 'canon' picture and they were left in the impression that all the Jedi were wiped out after the Order 66 were executed.

They know nothing about Vader's hunt, the Inquisitors and so on, and they most certainly have no clue that there were a lot of Jedi that survived the hunt for a long time. Then there are the Jedi temples, and I can be certain that most of the people have no clue about them and what they hold. Most of them haven't even seen the Temple Guardians.

There were a lot that survived Emperor's wrath. I bet most of the audience doesn't know about the fact that after the Order 66 Emperor sought out those force sensitive people to be trained in the Inquisitor program and in the other projects.

So, Jedi were a force of good, but they were unable to saw the flaws in their organisation, in the ways they conducted their business. To forgive them for passing the bar, but not fitting the outfit was wrong and Ashoka couldn't forgive them. That is the Way.

I also bet that most of the people don't know that Grand Admiral Thrawn could have taken over the Emperor and done a better job. The SW universe would be a harsh place under his leadership.

The latest episode of The Mandalorian introduced another batch of Mandalorians to the mix, including Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff), a character that first premiered in the animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars series years ago. The suits worn by Kryze and Koska Reeves (Sasha Banks) were designed by prominent costumer and creature designer Ironhead Studios, and the studio is celebrating the news by sharing some behind-the-scenes concept art used in the creation of the suits.

"We are really proud of the Bo-Katan and Koska suits that we built for The Mandalorian Season 2!" the outfit shared on Instagram. "Being part of the Star Wars universe has been on our bucket list for quite some time. We put a lot of heart into these two costumes. Huge thank you to Costume Designer Shawna Trpcic for trusting us with these characters!"

"I think that there is a little piece of Bo-Katan that I don't think you see coming," Sackhoff shared with Entertainment Tonight. "She's got something else going on in her mind and everything she does is purposeful. And I think that is new for her. She's grown into the role of a leader, and she finally believes she is a leader. And there is an ego that comes with being a leader that may or may not work against her."

Aahh @Phyrebrat you're obviously not familiar with just how picky and ranty I can get.

But thanks for the encouragement, though I think it wise not to join in.

It was not right thing to do

You misunderstood my meaning. I did not mean the Jedi did the right thing. I meant that if Ashoka forgave them it was right for her to forgive them. For me forgiving does not mean saying "I guess you were right." or "It doesn't matter." or even "forgetting what was done." It means to learn from what happened and get on with life. Life's too important to waste on would of, could of, or should of. The past is the past, the future is unknowable, we must make the best of the present.

But that was interesting background you provided. I'm sure it will be useful.

Seek advice you must! From a Parson! It is a bitterness and resentment toward someone, to hold a grudge - a form of anger, it is - anger leads to hate - hate leads to suffering - another path to the dark side, is it! Yes, hmmm. ;)

Another enjoyable episode - the standard with Season 2 has been better than the first so far. However, there was still the issue of Mando being so easily duped and tricked yet again. If it was just this episode that would be fine, but he spent season 1 being something of a gullible dufus.

I missed out on why the other Mando's were different and therefore could take off their helmets. Also, I missed why the Imperial ship was so important as to attack. Any pointers?

Looking forward to the next episode. :)

Well, Bo-Katan says that there's nothing to stop them from showing face. Not in the clan, but Mando isn't part of the House Kryze. He was a survivor of the Purge and the people who brought him up believed in the old ways. The ways of the Mandalore the Great.

So, his code says don't show your face in public, even though Bo-Katan being higher in the hierarchy claims it's okay. But that's the thing. Mando do not know the way. He had his own way, his own code of honour, which he practices zealously.

Also, I missed why the Imperial ship was so important as to attack.

Weapons. The Imperium is gone. Yet, they still keep operating and exploiting places, because the New Republic cannot do a thing to stop them. If their supply would diminish, it would be bad. That's the thing and there's the ship, the Mandalorians need them after the Purge. They have vessels, but I don't think they have a huge fleet to take back their homeworld.
