psychotick
Dangerously confused
Hi,
I don't have aphantasia though I suspect my visualization skills are poor and I am close to face blind. But here's a curiosity for you. My biggest oddity is that until I was about thirteen I was non-verbal in terms of my thinking as well. I would literally talk to people and didn't know where the words I was speaking were coming from. (this may explain my complete inability to spell!) These days I do sometimes think more in actual language, but still a lot of my thinking is non-verbal. ie I have no voice in my head. Which may be why my fingers type everything I write flat out, and then I have to go back over every sentence and read it slowly to check if it's what I wanted to say.
Cheers, Greg.
