DISCUSSION THREAD -- February 2021 -- 75-Word Writing Challenge

This is one of the few sword and sorcery stories I've ever written. It's a bit similar to the above two, but oh well.

That is not fair. It's forcing me into writing an absolute awful story that has just popped into my head. A groan inducing entry of rolled eyes proportion.

I just hope it fits into 75 words.

I'm in. Now, you'll have to excuse me, it seems to have got very dusty in here.

Eleven entries in two days?!! And just when I had decided to wait a day or two to review. Sigh!!!

@JS Wiig .... Say No More .... Be careful what you wish for, your spell might just ring true.
@Ian Fortytwo .... A regretful killing .... Look before you leap, the head you keep might just be your own.
@Laura R Hepworth .... Her Happy Ending .... There is no ill wind that does not blow some good, even if it's a cold revenge.
@Guttersnipe .... A Gift to Kolthamir, Lord of Redemption .... When you play with fire you'll get burned, maybe on a pyre.
@BT Jones .... Heavy the Crown .... Regrets? I've had a few, and they were well earned.
@nixie .... The Guardian .... Ashes, ashes, we all fall down, when the hunger raises it's ugly head.
@Edoc'sil .... Father's Regret .... The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, even when we wish it so.
@G.T. .... A rock and a hard place .... He who hesitates is lost, especially when the wait is very, very, long.
@Iwroteathing .... Sinful of Ashes .... Life is just a wisp of smoke, which is never seen again, especially when its truth is revealed.
@Luiglin .... The End .... The party isn't over until the fat lady sings, or perhaps, the dark lord.
@Lenny .... Hole in the Ground .... “Go back?” he thought. “No good at all! Go sideways? Impossible! Go forward? Only thing to do! On we go!” Sometimes Bilbo is no help at all.

Nothing like a bunch of dragons, spells, beheadings, and fake dragons to get you up and get you going. After all, life is lived by your understood axioms. :sneaky:

Well there's me, and I have no regrets (well, the story does). Fun Challenge; I'm not very good at writing fantasy, but I think I managed to just squeeze into the category. Good luck writing, to all yet to enter, CC

Fourteen stories in four days - Madness I tell you, madness.

I was hoping the topic would have you all stumped.

@Cat's Cradle .... I’ve Rummaged Through Your Pack .... Don't ask the question if you don't want to know the answer, in this case it could be deadly.

@TheEndIsNigh .... The Gambler .... You gotta know when to hold'em, Know when to fold'em, Know when to walk away, And know when to run. Perhaps TEIN broke even in this game?

I think this was the earliest I've ever posted!

For me inspiration always seems to take longer than execution, and this month it came quickly. Judging by the number and quality of entries already it looks like this will be a great month!
