I preferred TOS too, but i did read a fair few of the TNG books. I wasn't interested in DS9 or Voyager.

I kind of liked the fact that there were so many female authors writing Star Trek.

I ran across some James Doohan books that are actually written by S M Stirling. I have liked a bunch of Stirling's books so I got the ebooks though I really haven't had much luck with Star Trek books. Mostly disappointing tho occasionally good. Spock's World was good. It got a Goodreads rating of over 4.0.

Goodreads has a long list of Trek books so I selected those rated over 3.99 by more than 499 readers.

I have always been curious about the results of the Mirror, Mirror episode. I loved it when the Mirror Universe turned up in DS9. But it did not have 500 ratings.
