Just giving this a re-post to see if anyone is interested in listening. Have sent out links to a few of the Facebook 'Free Audiobook' pages and the spiel is below. It was my first book so is a bit rough and unsteady but I think there is something in it, even if you don't laugh there is the authenticity of the (exaggerated) experience.
The bit about worse for wear alternative lifestyle festival folk seeing TV for the first time in years, and convincing themselves the Hollywood blockbuster they were watching was reality, and setting out to warn others, is real. As is the daft folk who tagged along on their human Chicken Licken escapade. They didn't actually save the world, but the intention was there -and I think that speaks volumes about the human condition
I've been writing properly for about six years. In that time I've done my best to learn the craft (I think I have four more years to become properly qualified). I've learned that I don't have what it takes to be a quality writer. I am, however, fairly sure I can create an audiobook to match and possibly top the best of them (someone commented after listening to Nancy G: 'Jaysus, would love to hear Stephen Fry try and do that!').
Anyways, my long term plan is to keep creating these stories ('Nancy Goodaim' follows this book, and her story will be followed by 'Special Agent Black Socks').

FREE COMEDY AUDIOBOOK
I'm a standup comedian and love writing so my books are straight to narration performance pieces. They are close to audio drama, but still a novel. I have two full length novels (one at 3.5hrsn and one currently at 11hrs). I have made both free to listen. Linked below is the shorter one.
It's a comedic story about friendship, and how the world needs slackers. It's set in the 1990s Irish dance music subculture (there is some mild swearing and drug use, which was normal at the time). It's actually based on a true story, though highly exaggerated.
I'm confident it will make you smile -if it does then a Spotify of Audible review would more than return the favour.
