Farming simulator games?

@Swank - um not quite sure what you are saying? That squishy things like bananas and grapes don't squish if put at the bottom of the bag?

Y'know, every so often. Usually late at night after I've ended my nth campaign in Total War (electronically massacring thousands of men outside a city wall or on a bridge never gets old), don't have the energy to attempt a Factorio run, nor a Fallout/Skyrim wander, etc. I sometimes ponder whether getting Farming Simulater 20XX might be fun.

Then I look up some Let's Plays, like the ones apk games free download has posted and realise 1) it's actually a bit (lot!) more technical than I thought 2) It's really starting a virtual job in the same vein as all the bus, truck, or commercial plane simulators. All of these latter 'games' really don't make sense to me as ways of generating fun.

So instead this week I bought Dark Souls Remastered as I've never played a From Software game.

Purely my own perspective, but I think I've definitely made the better choice
However, it sounds like you ultimately decided to go with Dark Souls Remastered, which is a very different type of game altogether. From Software is known for creating challenging and rewarding games, and Dark Souls is no exception. It's great that you're trying something new and stepping outside of your usual gaming preferences.

Ultimately, the most important thing is that you're having fun and enjoying your gaming experiences, whether that's by mastering a farming simulator or battling your way through the world of Dark Souls.

Re: Dark Soul games....the game that taught me that it was fine to keep dying, but keep coming back and learn from it (as before I was someone who liked perfect runs and would abandon games if they went "wrong") was...Minecraft ;)

Absolutely, well said.

(Although I'm currently having fun doing legendary survival Skyrim run at the moment!)
