I don't remember any really good surprise stories that felt as zingy as the original series.

What was the one where a 1950s-era scientist and woman arrive in a small town and discover it is an alien invasion--and then it ends with the

woman saying "I have already been reprogrammed" and she rips off her face to reveal a bug alien and the scientist screams--then the next scene shows a different man and woman arriving in town and the sheriff is now the scientist. I didn't understand that story at all. Was it suggesting the aliens were practicing takeover scenarios?

And I can't remember any stars I recognize either. It was set in a desert town in daytime.

I think the last line was "'a meteor,' you say?"

It stuck in the memory.

peeking my interest. that was just the first one I saw that sounded close. check imdb for the list and maybe start looking at the higher number pages? then look backward?

i did not see a description at imdb. maybe a simple search for the twilight zone episode guide will be better. the search page has all seasons and starts season one with thumbnails and descriptions. if twilight zone they surely will list it. post the name am curious
