February / March 100 Word Anonymous Challenge 2022 Discussion

Thanks @elvet and @paranoid marvin , and all the mystery writers -great reading as usual:

Voted for:

The Stuffy Society of Celestial Ballroom Dancers - anthropomorphic supernaturalism (had to look that up! great story)
A Visitor at Last - it's Covid remembrance day where I am, not sure if that influenced me but this one had to get the vote.

Shortlisters:

Density of the Daleks - great dialogue, would love to film a skit using it sometime if the author was cool about it (sadly it'd be just for fun but obviously full credit etc.)
A New Dope - the almost compulsory SFF challenge SW skit, and well done it was too
Retaken - I thought this was a very well written nicely rounded 100 worder
Eric - though this was a nice take on the theme
Honeymoon on Callisto - had a funky old school SF thing about it that I liked

My short list:
Lets go and Party - had a good twist
Camouflage - making the most out of the 'Who' in the title
Galactic Writ - Because you really wonder who it is

Votes go to:
The Stuffy Society of Celestial Ballroom Dancers - lovely that I had to read it a few times to get it and it made me smile.
Retaken - had a hint of wonder to it.

Lets go and party! - removing obstacles sometimes requires subtle trickery

A New Dope - Robot Chicken anyone?

Thanks lads, that's a great start to the week. In my mind the people who contribute here are writer's writers. No ego's, no messing - just doing it because they love it.
To get the nod for a story is a proud day.

Plus I think it means I get to pick the topic for the next challenge, which is handy as I've hopefully got a good one for ye. It comes from a time years ago when someone asked me to design them a tattoo. I said 'sure, what do ya want done?', and expected to hear something like 'a skeleton on a motorbike'. Instead they gave a one word answer that got me staring at a blank page and head scratching.

Hopefully it'll do the same job here;)

Thanks again @elvet for keeping this going, and thanks Chrons for all the stories, fair play (y)
