I have heard of the Mandela effect; the one that messes me up is the Berenstain(stein?) Bears.

There's a very good psychology book called Stumbling on Happiness, which despite its title is not a self help book, but rather an excellent explanation of why we're terrible at figuring out what will make us happy, due to things like faulty memory/perception/imagination/etc.

I have several old sports injuries, and I can "play" with the memories and have them happen to one side or the other, and have to physically check myself to set things straight.

I don't think you've got much to worry about since it took me 9 years to win one and since that point have been on a downward slide. So, see you in around 18 years
