Any tips on getting over procrastination when writing? Or trying to write?

One thing that I do struggle with is that I see my stories as photos and short movie clips. So, trying to write what I see down without being over baring or over descriptive tends to stop me. I have learned to not get so caught up in that and just describe enough of the setting/view that is imperative to the story and let the reader fill in the rest themselves.

I have been looking at the current and past winners and runners-up of the 75, 100, 200-word challenges and am learning from them.

My first draft final scene was a place holder and hastily written just so I could get the first draft done and start editing and improving.

And after ages and ages of editing slowly I just couldn't bear to rewrite that last scene. So I put it off and tweaked and fiddled and found more interesting things to do.

And then finally, I realized why.

I just wasn't excited by it. Everything leading up to it was action-packed and fun. How do you get excited about writing a total anticlimax?

So I came up with some new ideas for the final scene to make it way more interesting. Now I'm excited about the rewrite.
