"Nope. Never heard of... Wait! Did you say 'before'?"

"Erm, yes..."

"That's why he's unknown. You're supposed to terminate them AFTER coming to power, but BEFORE atrocities begin. Look, he's not even in the dictator ledger."

Unexpected ubiquitous inquisition​

The institution translating as 'inquisition' is now universally distributed in all cultures considering themselves 'civilised'.

Every faith, each cult, each social belief had gangs of pious thugs explaining - violently - to non-believers their creed's errors, their version of Truth.

Multipartite riots were generalised, with alliances developing and dissolving instantaneously, generated on the antiwrongdoing.path. Arguments within hierarchies killed as many as competitors. Fractal cults bloomed and withered in a single march.

For we alone KNEW Truth.

Or evil spirits, wishing to tear us from our homes?​

​

Is covering the mirror not enough? Must I smash it?​
