Nancy Goodaim, Space Ranger

Spot on, he's credited on all the online spiel. In fact, the story started from an online comment -I was checking out pulp SF covers and someone had mentioned that it was a shame there was no story behind this one. I got in touch with him, told him the plan and kicked it off.
He was following for a bit but gave up early on I think (fair enough, I'm well aware my storytelling is not for everyone/ most people). What started out as a bit of a daft adventure evolved into a creature with a bit of bite, so I'm still working away two years plus later -due to end mid Feb '25 or so. I think I know roughly all the folk following, most of whom have been in touch to say nice stuff like 'love the characters, and the general silliness'.
The very few reviews have it as 'hilarious, dry Irish humor', and 'an audiobook with attitude'.
I think we might have texted here way back at the start, I think he's a friend of yours -it's a great eye catching piece of work and I'm glad be able to put a scéal behind it ...even if it did turn into a bit of a cratur ;)

On reflection - I should have spotted the great big "Fell" across the cover. Yeah, I know Aly, lovely bloke. How funny!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand well, now, then, time for another -Episode 44 (Spotify link here but ya can find it most places, including on irishsciencefiction.com where it's there as download)
As always, a review would be bigly appreciated ...each Chapter is ~20 min, with only mild cursing and no adult content (so IMO suitable for all and I'd have no problem with my own kids listening, not that they'd ever want to!) -I can't promise anything in return for a review, only to improve based on feedback.
I think it will only be writers reading this post --- so -the honest writer self criticism bit:
This has five characters interacting and conversing. I think it suffers badly from this. Ideally, especially for audio, there should be three and no more interacting at any given time. The story needed five here, but a writer should be skilled enough to split things up. I wasn't, and didn't here. There are still some good solid (and hopefully unique) bits to be found in the Chapter, but in general I'm not proud and a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link. Another criticism would be the disposable wizard character could have been a bit more vague and distracted, so he can be easily dumped later on. Anyways, twenty four months in and still going so the story is bound to have a few dips.

Out this week -Nancy Goodaim, Space Ranger - Chapter 45
It's a good one. The whole comedy/ bonkers adventure is only a ruse to fire through the story. I think it worked well and hopefully gets the listener to think 'hang on, what's really going on here?'.
Hard to know -tis destined to be buried online. Am already banned from KDP, and the high energy trippy style means I haven't a snowballs chance in hell of telling it live (this is def not the era of alternative comedy -do plain old 'what do you do for a living buddy? ...<xyz profession> wow, <insert obvious pun>' or go home, which is about as interesting as watching paint dry for a writer;)
Still, consistency is king.
One more Chapter before the new year, and nine in 2025 to finish the story out.
