Realistic Engineering?

I liked Slide Rule (autobiographical), but I loved his novels.
An Old Captivity was my favorite - it was responsible for Parks Canada inviting me to do field work on the Norse settlement at L'Anse aux Meadows. That was fun (and cold, cold, cold for guy from the American South).

Interesting. Speaking as an Engineer, I have the impression that his engineering was solid - he was a mechanical engineer.

There's engineering in Heinlein stories? I guess I liked his drafting machine from Door Into Summer...
