THE WALKING DEAD: THE ONES WHO LIVE

Sorry, I could not figure-out how to put this in the TV section.

Finally Rick & Michonne's adventures continue. In the USA, this series begins less that two, count 'em, 2 weeks from today!

Pass the popcorn!

Just watched #1, & it is very intense. I will leave it, at that.

After seeing the huge IMDB rating I gave it a shot after giving up on the last couple of years of Walking Dead stuff.
It is another example that recently overall show / movie ratings within the first week of release are not to be trusted. Good production values and decent episode overall. But still disappointing and one of the most overrated episodes I have ever seen. The coincidence that happened at the end of the episode was laughable.
That said still a good chance it will be better than the latter episodes of Walking Dead and Fear.
Does remind me to finish compendium 4 of the comic, which is a good thing.

Watched the first episode, slightly disappointed that it focused on Rick, you have to admit he is rather irritating. I'm so pleased I watched World Beyond, so know who the CRM are and how ruthless they can be, hoping some of the characters may make an appearance.

Have watched the first 2 episodes. Don't know what to make of it yet. There is good and bad in there.

On episode 4 and this is really taking a long time to get anywhere.

I've watched the first episode. I'm also underwhelmed. I have already seen World Beyond, which must be essential if you have any chance to understand what is going on here, because there is little explanation of the CRM, and none of the characters from TWD and World Beyond (who were from what we now know is the CRM) appear yet (like Jadis). It was dull and boring. I also don't understand the young Michonne and Rick flashback scenes. Are they a dream from Rick? How is he meeting her and working in some office, before he is married and a police officer?

In any case, Daryl and Carol were the best TWD characters, and I've already seen Daryl Dixon, and that is a much better spin-off series with a strong story.

I'm away for a week. I will watch all these. It seems it will first go back to tell Michonne's story in the second episode before they find each other. I did expect it to be better, if only because they were supposed to be Made-for-TV films and you might expect a higher standard of production.

I'm now up to the 6th episode. This improves a lot as it goes on. Anne/Jadis is a big part of this story as is Major General Beale. And those were dreams that Rick had had (that wasn't made very clear really.)
