DISCUSSION THREAD -- MAY 2024 75 WORD WRITING CHALLENGE

@Cat's Cradle .... Shameless Dentistry .... A story that will make you think twice about your next dentist visit.

@Starbeast .... Steptoe & Son: Night of the Blood Oranges .... A story that made me laugh while going huh? what? Oh no!

@mosaix .... You’re My Best Mate You Are… .... A story that may be more logical than the original, but still quite crazy.

@johnnyjet .... I Remember Forget-Me-Nots .... A story that is full of buds and flowers of memory.

@emrosenagel .... At the Place Peopled with Trees, the Place Where People Take Root .... A story which makes me remember the old saying that "sometimes the cure is worse than the disease."

@genelewis .... Invasive species .... A story which puts me in mind of the human trait of hubris.

@reebee .... Hyperborea .... This is a story which makes me think about a subtle and deadly terror.

@Waza .... Fungus Among Us .... This is a story that reminds us that when something new is entered into the equation everything can change.

----- 25 minutes later ---

@AnRoinnUltra .... The smell of Progress .... This is a story which makes me realize that whatever world we inhabit there will always be members who have left common sense far behind.

@Luiglin .... And all he said was, “I wouldn’t know about that, sir” .... A story which makes me wonder about what battles are worth fighting.

My inspiration has a touch of the Game of Thrones with a wedding feast, so does that still count as an original idea - I have my doubts. Anyway I'm in, let's see how it goes.

@Bowler1 .... Angry Ancestors .... A story which reminds us that ignorance is far from bliss and that the battle is not always won by the strong.

I'm in but it's a more a story I was done with than a story that I felt was done. I spent several hours trying to pound that story into shape and I still feel that I needed a hotter fire and a better blacksmith to pound that puppy into a piece of Damascus steel rather than pig iron.
