I have never seen

A wonderful, short, children's book  expanded bloated into three very long films with loads of stuff that is not in the book.

The three LOTR films have their faults, but they pale into insignificance against the travesty that is The Hobbit.

The Hobbit trilogy is so bad in so many ways. It's quite annoying really as it starts off ratger well with the dwarves and their dish-washing song, but it quickly loses any resemblance to the book on wbich it is based.

It is an exercise in money making, and this it does very well; but only at the expense of integrity.

I will say that I did get some joy out of seeing Smaug toy with Bilbo on a gigantic Hollywood budget. But then again, the writing doesn't score any points for that, because the scene is largely lifted from the book (even if the dialogue isn't 1-to-1).

Then everyone else shows up and it turns into something out of a bad Hanna-Barbera cartoon. You could put Yakety Sax over some of these scenes and it'd fit perfectly.

  • Gone with the Wind
  • Goodfellas
  • Pulp Fiction
  • Taxi Driver

  • The Blair Witch Project
  • etc
  • etc

Same.

Except that I did see "Gone With the Wind."

I've seen all of those films, and have a huge appreciation for many of them. But people get the wrong impression about Fight Club being about fighting, so they think it is stupid. Such an amazing and funny film.

I've never seen Schindler's List. Despite that, I am anti-genocide anyway.

A Night To Remember is far far better than Titanic.
The only others on your list that I’ve seen are Pulp Fiction and Taxi Driver, both of which I liked but don’t need to ever see again.

I’ve only seen two Tom Cruise films - War Of The Worlds & Edge Of Tomorrow.
