Cannot recall whether I've mentioned this on here before but I inherited a 1751 almanac which someone clearly kept because it was the final year of the old calendar. There's a page showing the old and new calendar dates juxtaposed, presumably because the publishers thought that could be of use in the coming year. As a (retired) astronomer I still find it startling to observe that the autumn equinox used to fall on 12 September. The almanac (and presumably all calendars) showed the Gregorian calendar for 1752 and succeeding years.Unfortunately you have to take into account the fact that the Gregorian Calendar was adopted by the UK on September 2 1752 (the very next day was September 14)
