I call such books "sci-fi in pretty fantasy clothes".

Looking for this trilogy now .
By him ive read Ive read Dracula Unbound , Non Stop , The Malacia Tapestry, Cryptozoic . He' a great writer.
I do have Hothouse which I plan to read soon . I just found a copy of his book Starswarm at my favorite used book shop.

Hothouse is marvellous, my own Memory Seed was compared with it back in 1996, very flattering! The edition I have is the amended paperback one. Nicci (book binder) has just bought a 1963 hardback edition to rebind.
Alas, no! Would have loved to have. Malacia Tapestry is good!
