We had the likes of Morgan, Glenn, Carl, Carol, Daryl, Andrea, as the show progressed other joined, Maggie, Hershel,Michonne, Abraham, Tara, Gabriel, Eugene,Rosita, Sasha, Enid, Aaron, Ezekiel, Jesus, Negan, Lydia and many others.
We watched Them grow. Take Carol, the timid battered housewife became a complete bad ass.
The redneck Daryl, if the outbreak hadn't happened would have probably rotted in prison.
Cowardly Eugene, we all thought he'd defected to the saviours but he was secretly sabotaging them.
Negan has one weakness, children. We seen it when he let Carl live, protected Judith during the storm.
They all evolved but Rick didn't he was still the sheriff he was at the beginning yes he did things he didn't want to but he never really changed.
The three spin offs for the main characters highlight this, Dary Dixon is excellent. Dead City is good but The Ones Who Live doesn't grip you, focusing solely on Rick and Michonne it lacks the charisma of the other two.
