DISCUSSION THREAD -- November 2024 -- 75 Word Writing Challenge

Congratulations, nixie! Commiserations, Astro Pen. Good stories, both.
Looking forward to December's Challenge choices, nixie.

@THX1138, I hope your Ausi Terroir's recovery is swift, and complete. I am not the world's greatest Googler, but I did a number of searches and could find no reference to an 'Ausi Terroir'... or even just a creature called a terroir.
I wonder what type of pet this is? Maybe a dog, a terrier? Sorry for being so nosy, but I am endlessly curious about things. Hope she feels better soon, CC

Well, with the main voting over, it's safe to post that our blood thirsty Ausi Terroir tore her hind leg up and is off to surgery next Friday!
Tore her ACL and all doing what she does best. She'll go through 6 weeks of home PT afterwards.
Thank goodness: I read that as "our blood thirsty Ausi Terroir tore her hind leg up" as "tore her hind leg off" the first time! Hope she's on the road to recovery.

Thank you all for the votes, commiserations @Astro Pen.

Mine was based on my own dog. Recently replaced bin in kitchen, previously had the sensor on top of lid, this one has the sensor on front of lid and is slightly smaller. When Zeus went to investigate the new addition, of course the lid open. A very loud yelp, an escape to safety before barking and growling at it. I probably laughed more than I should have. He doesn't go near it now.

Congrats @nixie
You know, Going through the list of tie breaker votes for my story, I noticed Nixie had voted for mine! What a lovely gesture!
I confess I was bemused by Nixie's story until the 'pedal bin penny' eventually dropped late last night. Which shows Iam getting old and slow.
Thanks to everyone for the votes, - and think twice the petshop.

I confess I was bemused by Nixie's story until the 'pedal bin penny' eventually dropped late last night.
Glad I wasn't the only one! I'd read it 3 or 4 times before I cottoned on to what it might be.

(I've not even heard of a bin with a sensor, which shows just how old and out-of-touch I am!)
