What a fabulous selection of stories so far! Funny, sad, thought-provoking, achingly beautiful - I would never have thought that the subject of 'travellers' would have brought out the philosopher and the poet in so many!

I wasn't intending to enter, but the night before last I couldn't sleep and thought I'd see if the no-sleep energy could come up with a story.

I've been trying anagrams of the name but getting nowhere so far, and error 808 is when a remote server is refusing to connect with you, so no luck there either.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I resorted to AI to explain the story because I just didn't get it and it was surprisingly very much helpful. Crazy times.

@Starbeast ..... 1845 Encounter With Strangers on a Train .... This is a story that reminds us that there are strangers and there are STRANGERS that will be met as we travel.

@Azzagorn .... Timepyre and the Traveller .... This is a story which is very inventive and leaves you hoping for another installment.

@Elckerlyc .... Hotel The World .... This is a story about a traveler having trouble making the right connections.
