Rocky ground, eh? So the image could have been given the title, Eye of the Tiger?

Well, you may have something there:

Turn the picture upside down, and you've got some kind of skeletal creature (bird?) with a pincer-like jaw/beak.

But I mentioned before, the picture looks more like things caught in a web than any kind of seeds.
