Who could play the joker on screen.

My friend told me last night that apparently mark hamil has been approached to play the joker in the next batman film! i think it has the possibility to work (hes perfect as the voice of the joker in the animated series) and I'd like to think he could pull off a screen performance as the joker, but my friends disagree!

What do you lot think? Who do you think could pull off the screen version of the joker? (i wasn't that keen on nicholson as the joker to be honest)

Is that Mark 'Luke Skywalker' Hamill?

I've always thought John Malkovich might make a good Joker, because he has the lean build that the Joker has in the comics, and can act pretty creepy. But maybe he's not manic enough.

Mark Hammill couldn't possibly play The Joker... Not got the killer look... Too short...

Jack Nicholson was very good... Though recently saw Dennis Quaid smiling... He could do the job without make-up...

I don't think there is an actor around at the moment, that could pull off the role properly...
