Should the Empire Series Continue?

and the fact it didnt have massive character with outlandish powers made it a refreshing change
Yes! and that's why I personally prefer Mara to Pug. Like Pug, she starts off with practically nothing, and ends up just about the most powerful person on her world, but Mara does it without any magic or superhuman powers, just cunning, guile and using her brains.

the midkemia saga are just that, its about midkemia.

I don't remember it ever being actually called this, UM - I always thought it was the Riftwar Saga - a name that includes Kelewan as well as Midkemia.

no i meen the whole damn lot of them, im not gonna name em all, theres too many durr

theres 5ish books on kelewan, 2 too many and close to 20 on midkemia so i think all of them are gonna be the midkemia sagas and the ones bout kelewan are simply called the empire crap..to me of course

Loved the Janny Wurz/Feist collaborated books and along with Magician those are the ones I read again. Haven't read any of Wurz's novels but I'm tempted.

Wurz is a stooge, feist ftw.

Just read the empire first book again and ive decided that i like them. Lol

He's flapping his gums. :D

I love the Empire series and I think it's fine that it hasn't continued. Feist has now told the Kelwan stories. He could do more by following the life of Justin at the end but it might be like squeezing a sponge... there is only so much water you can get out of it before it goes dry. ;)

I think Feist's original 3 books were better than the Empire trilogy. But they rank just below that.

Kelewan was a far more original world without the cod-medieval setting of much of the fantasy genre.

I do not see any need for a sequel however a story was told, set in Kelewan, that ended in a happy ending that will presumably last for decades.

If only he had ended his Midkemia novels on a high. They should have ended with the Serpantwar saga IMO. The Conclave of shadows books have dragged terribly.
