Superhero Showdown 2: Wonderwoman vs Rogue

this is rogue, as in the x-men books. not the scared little girl of the films. So she has super strength, the ability to fly and a large dolop of invulnerability, along with her own mutant ability to absorb the powers and life essence of other people and mutants.
Wonder Woman is the princess of the Amazons. She has the backing of the gods, super strength, super speed, protective bracelets (which if damaged turn her mad) a magic tiara, magic lasso and girdle of gea. she also has a robot plane which is invisible and has been a warrior for hundreds of years. Her possition wasn't granted by right of birth but was won in combat.
Both women are smart, strong and know how to win. So who will?

Wow I can't believe I got that mixed up, never was a huge x-men fan but I did watch it when it was on.

I really dont know anything about wonderwoman. Looked on the marvel directory and they only have wonder man. Does she go under a different alias or something?

has to be rogue although this could be based on a rather disapointing tv series of wonderwoman rather than any great affinity with rogue in the comics.

I actually had to stop and think about this one for awhile...
Wonderwoman was a childhood favorite, while Rogue is my Xmen favorite...

Okay... here are my thoughts... Wonderwoman would win... she would kick Rogue's scrawny butt... Why?
Well... even though Rogue can absorb other's powers, one hit from Wonderwoman's super strength ~ she inherited because she's 1/2 god ~ would do Rogue in. Wonderwoman is a champion fighter, a true warrior. Rogue is not. She is much like Wolverine and fights with her anger, not her wits and even if she was able to think, she wouldn't be able to out do a warrior who has been one for hundred of years.

I'll say Wonderwoman but only if Alia is volunteering...

ok, i've been thinking about this for a while now, i'm going with wonderwoman. she has the experience and drive to get the job done.
one problem i've found with characters like logan and rogue, they are spit and fury, which doesn't always work against training and persistance.

If for no other reason than the fact Rogue keeps getting beaten up in the Marvel comics too easily.
That and, as Alia said, WW is actually a fully trained hand-to-hand fighter and should be able to keep Rogue at a distance if she wants too.

I've got to go with Rogue. Take off the gloves, and manage to land a few good seconds of skin-to-skin contact... and Wonder Woman goes down, no questions.

WW is a fine warrior, ajdecon. She would never let Rogue get a few good seconds in. I just don't see it happening... at all.

Ahh, but remember: this is the world of comic books, where our heroes with awesome powers always seem to make just enough mistakes to truly get in trouble.

In a true comic-book style matchup, I suspect Rogue and Wonder Woman would each end up on the losing side of the fight for a few pages. Wonder Woman would lasso Rogue, who would escape just long enough to partially weaken Wonder Woman... before they realized they had been manipulated into fighting by a mysterious villain, and joined forces to track him down and make the world safe for people from DC and Marvel.

Who is that mysterious figure in the background, laughing as our heroines do battle? Stay tuned...
