 = These forums.

:D = AFFC.

Wow, great book. Loved it. Even though non of my fave characters were in it  Took me a while to read it actually, as i rationed myself to a 100 pages a day (seeing as it'll be about 20 years til we get the next one) - until yesterday, when i got gready and read quite a bit more.

The End. (CBA re-writing everything again. I really do hate these forums.)

/me goes off to see if i have enough penies in my piggy bank to hire a faceless man to knock off whoever designed these forums. ;)

The book better take less than twenty years to finish. In fact, I'm hoping it will be released next year.

It's a general hazrd of forums in general that posts can and do get lost, so before you press send, press CTRL+A, CTRL+C to copy your post first. :)

Glad to see no spoilers, though. :D

I'm about two thirds of the way through at the moment.
I'm not going to post any spoilers either.
It's quite different in tone to the earlier works. You definately get the feel that there are other events happening in the 'missing' POVs which affect the ones in here. Or maybe it's just because I notice their absence more? Any thoughts?

I can't believe how polite you guys are being. If I'd finished AFFC already, my new thread would look something like this...

****SPOILER ALERT****Finished! Beware of spoilers!****SPOILER ALERT****

And then I'd proceed to dish out on every juicy detail.

Edd, you have quite a bit of restraint.

Have to agree with Ed on this one again, AFFC was worth the 5 year wait. My only disappointment is I finished it so bloody quickly :(. I was taking it easy 50 -100 pages per day at first, but I was off today poorly and read the last 300 pages in one go. ho hum only a year or so to wait for the next half :p

Lets see when my UK copy comes in the mail. Sooner than later I hope.

You cheater! Haha, I'm just kidding. I'm holding out until the US publishing date, but that's just so I get my ticket to meet GRRM later that month.

Thank you all for not posting spoilers. I don't know how long I would have been able to resist.

TBH i was astounded at how well the split seemed to have worked. Like everyone else i was really worried that events from ADWD would be revealed before they were supposed to be, but, as far as i saw, that only happened once, and then only in passing, with no verification.

Oh, and for those who've now finished: What do you think of the third form last chapter (i think)? How great was that? :D

If its the one I'm thinking of then that was a nice twist of the knife. You can see that someone is setting themselves up for this sort of thing but the speed with which it happens still comes as a bit of surprise.

I'm trying to write this to make as little sense to those who haven't read the book yet so apologies for the odd wording ;)

How about when blank blanked the blank, and blank went to blank and said blank blank blank blank blank? That was blanking awesome....

Got my copy yesterday. Am pacing myself. Not quite at the hundred page mark yet. Oddly haven't been drawn in as much as with the previous titles. It's good, don't get me wrong, but the others I devoured. This one, I'm nibbling. No doubt at some point I'll be consumed by the prose....

Cheers...virgin threader here. not sure of the protocal. still waiting for 11/8 for our big day here...rereading the series now for the 2nd time ( just started ACOK), simply best fantasy I've read.:)

Outside of Steven Erikson I might agree...:D

Enjoying the Feast a lot, as expected it's a darn good meal.

A Dance With Dragons is scheduled for next year, so let's hope that happens. I'm aware as a lot of others probably are that he's at least 2/3 or more the way through it already having had to divide the book (and Crows) essentialy into two POV sets as it was just too lengthy to publish as a single voulme.

Cool...

So have you finished Feast yet?

I'm pacing things fairly slowly, I try not to fall into the trap of reading a good book too quickly, whether its Martin, Erikson or whoever.....:(

I'm taking it easy, too. Just past the two hundred page mark, so I've still got some reading to do. Keep skipping ahead, though, to see what PoV's are coming. Can't help myself. At some stage I get the feeling I'm just going to fall into it and not stop....
