regulating how long these series can drag on..I mean some of the main characters are kids. Do you guy's realise we still have to get through their teen and adult years. I may be six feet under before this darn thing wraps up. I hope Mr. Martin is taking very good care of himself

THere, also, outta be a restriction about how long readers have to wait between books. I say 1 year max

I think that any sort of regulation would impede his artistic license. And who says the series can't end before all of the characters reach our modern idea of adulthood? :)

Have you seen a picture of GRRM? He does not look like Jack LaLanne.

Another law:

There ought to be a law that people should be able to spell Daenerys' name by now. Especially those who have read all of the books. It's Daenerys or Dany. Not Danys or any other wacky combination.

Yes, I know, I'm wearing my cranky pants today. :)

Guilty as charged:eek: :D

Does it have to end??????
I think it would be kinda lonely!!!!
What would I do if all my questions were answered.....God forbid!!!

I think the law should be it can end but only if GRRM keeps writing about Westeros!!! Future or Past..preferably past Dunk and Egg...Sword of the Morning, Barriston Selmy etc etc perhaps he could put a whole new spin on things which would make you wish the Others had won... ( If they Dont)

I think 2 years per book should be enough to finish the series, especially if he concentrated on ASOIF alone and let go all the other things he is doing. Forget about George, I might not make it until the end.

too funny..I actually went back to the book to check the spelling on her name..I knew someone would have an issue if it was miss spelt:p

believe after reading some of the posts and realising how many little clues I missed..spelling is the least of my issues

I'm I the only person that actually believed the Hound to be dead (sad as the thought was) /o\

No, until I read the posts in this section of the forum, I thought he was dead too.

I think characters may wed or come into titles at an earlier age..but they don't become real players until they get much older..until then they're just pawns.

In addition to the characters ages..think about the amount of work that needs to take place before they are ready to take on the Others...and who knows how long that battle will last.../o\

not really complaining though as Knight of the Day said it would be kinda lonely. He just can't take so darn long between books:eek:

I don't think that Daenerys or Jon Snow are just pawns at this point. Both of them have been saddled with immense power for people that age, and both of them are handling it considerably well, especially when you compare them with the last few ruling regents of the land.

As far as the time goes, well... I'm impatient to read the next installment, but as the saying goes: "haste makes waste." I'd rather have him take the time he needs to continue writing quality stuff, instead of pulling a Jordan.

i am thinking of Arya ..can't wait to see how she turns out. i'm hoping she gets together with Gendry.

Are we generally in agreement that Arya is on her way of becoming a Faceless Man? Wonder if she will meet up with Jaqen Ha'gar at some point?

I find it to be a bit tricky, but I keep my copy of AGOT handy and look it up when I need to.

If that were the case, I think that would be the clincher for me and I'd have to exile myself from the board.
