Manga fans

There's two manga I've been realy enjoying recently. First is Mahou Sensei Negima which took me three times to get pass volume 1 but was really worthwhile once the magic battles began. I really enjoyed the tournament battle.

Second is Claymore which is also an anime that started this spring. Its about an organization of female half-demons hunting other demons. It is an awesome seinen action/adventure manga along the lines of Berserk.

I've only seen 3 fans of Naruto............whats the prob, why aren't there more. The best Anime of our time. That isn't just my opinion.........millions more will say the same. My history with naruto goes a long way. Cause i was really an Avatar fan......some frens told me of naruto, watched it and denied it was better than avatar. But now i can't do it any longer.

If you haven't watched it, plz do so..............it is one of the few reasons a TV wuz made.LOL

This is one that I started reading recently. A friend's brother collects them and it was recently made into a movie. Death Note written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata.

Light Yagami is a high school student who discovers a notebook, known as the "Death Note". The Death Note says that, if a name is written in it, the person will die. Light is skeptical of the Death Note's authenticity, but after experimenting with it and killing two criminals, he is forced to admit the Death Note is real. After meeting the true owner of the Death Note, a shinigami (Death God) named Ryuk, Light seeks to become the "God of new world" by passing judgment on criminals.

Soon, the number of inexplicable deaths of reported criminals catches the attention of the International Police Organisation and a detective known only as "L". L learns that the serial killer, dubbed by the public as "Kira"(derived from the Japanese pronouncation of the English word "Killer" and also from the Latin word for "light"), is in Japan. L also concludes that Kira can kill people just by knowing their name. Light realises that L will be his greatest nemesis, and a race between the two begins.

Death Note has been made into a movie that is mostly faithful to the manga (with some slight alterations such as the addition of Light's girlfriend Shiori).

Death Note manga is one of my fav mangas. Beautiful and very dark story. Light was a maniac but you couldnt help but to root for him.

Coz Naruto as a series hasn't been as good since the Wave country arc with Haku and Zabuza, wherein afterwards the power levels have been so messed up. The animation is a bit iffy in some episodes. Also Naruto as a character, more in the anime because of the awful filler arcs, is so lame. He makes stupid mistakes and keeps preaching stuff that he will then contradict in another story arc. I like Shikamaru though.

I still read the manga to keep up with what's been happening kinda out of habit more than anything else. It can still be entertaining but I wouldn't call it the best. That's my opinion at least.

The episodes with Haku and Zabuza were like the first 20, you must expect the show along with the characters will improve. There are 130 episodes in the anbu series. And now that naruto shippuuden has started we have seen a fully mature naruto.............you would not believe that was the naruto in the past 130 episodes.

In USA Naruto is much bigger than it is in Europe,Asia specially in Japan its not even top three.

Maybe cause people tired way before off the crap it becomes.

I have read the manga for a long time and gave up on it.

Trust me naruto anime fans it doesnt get better!

Actually, Naruto is still the immature and reckless guy he was at the start of the manga. Sure he's got more uber techniques and all but he hasn't really grown as a character. I much prefer guys like Shikamaru who while not having the most uber techniques learn from past mistakes, and can beat an Akatsuki member by using strategy and preparation.

Naruto isn't even in the top 5 best characters in the series. For a series that seems to depend on character growth, I found Shikamaru, Gaara, Neji, heck even Sakura and Sasuke has shown more character growth than him, making them more interesting characters.

I think you may have misunderstood something I posted. I think that the Wave Country arc with Zabuza and Haku was the peak of the series. The characters weren't so uber powerful and the plotting isn't as maudlin. I thought that Naruto has degenerated in quality after that arc wherein its just been a bunch of fights and power-ups since for the most part, though admittedly not as bad as Bleach.

Its not the best Shounen adventure type series in my opinion. I prefer One Piece's consistency and irreverent fun. Naruto just takes itself too seriously which maybe what throws the series off because it has such an irreverent and immature character.

naruto rocks... but my favourite manga and anime is SCHOOL RUMBLE

its crazy comedy about the lives and loves of highschool students and the outrageous things they do, each episode is usualy compiled of three chapters or short stories from the manga and always leaves me in stiches. It rocks quite frankly.

Manga was the term, if no one mentioned before me, for both cartoons and comics in Japan, in the early '60s or even much earlier.

I mostly like triller manga's. Naoki Urasawa is my favourite writer and very few can surpass him. He totaly won me over with Monster and now with 20th Century Boys. Currently I'm trying to get my hands on Yawara and PLUTO, of the same author, of course.

Oh yes! And Shamo is quite excellent. It begins with a high-school student killing his parents, apparently because of the pressure, for feeling that he would die for the lack of freedom. Since he was a minor, his maximum sentence is 2 years, but there is a problem. In Japan, pictures of the criminals aren't posted in newspapers, but his picture was leaked by someone to the media's and he has no peace. In jail, the one of minors, he learns Kyoku shin kai karate, one of the most extreme styles of its own. He learns it to survive. It's very good, very dark... don't bother reading it though if you're a Narutard.

my personal favorite is actually a manwha called Priest. Has an amazing, hard edged style and a cool, pulpy story to go with it.

I'm certainly a fan of manga! My favourite would have to be Immortal Rain - such a shame it's generally unknown. I also adored Fushigi Yugi, up 'til the end of book 13. A.I. Love You and Chobits were sweet... Y'know, it'd be much better to have a manga forum, but ho well. =]
