Cover art for Book Two

To the best of my knowledge, it's usually a painting, even in this day and age.

Over the years, I've seen many of these paintings on sale at conventions. Of course they cost an arm and a leg -- with a kidney or a lung thrown in for good measure if the artist is famous enough. Usually far beyond the means of the miserable wretch of a writer.

This one, however, I am pretty sure is just the sketch. He certainly did it fast enough. They emailed me a jpg about a week after I spoke with him, and they probably had it a day or two before that.

Teresa,

Sorry if I'm being slow, but when is Book 2 of the Rune of Unmaking series going to be published?

This was going to be a more general question, about what you were currently working on, but when I looked at the threads, I realised that Book 2 must, I guess, be your current project?

Apologies if I've missed all the relevant information.

Cheers,
Patrick.

Teresa,
Just thought I'd let you know. I saw the Hidden Stars for sale in the London Covent Garden branch of Forbidden Planet.
Your fame is spreading! :)

Fantastic artwork, and I'm very impressed that the artist was concerned enough about detail to call you about the tail! Would that be Ruan standing toe-to-toe with the beastie?

I might have missed it, but is there a working title yet?

Yes, that's Ruan, about to find out whether a manticore is as formidable as a sea-dragon.

I have a title, but they never seem to use it in our correspondence -- it's always Rune of Unmaking II -- even though they've never come out and said change it ... so I'm unsure.

Anyway, I'm calling it The Winds that Move the Worlds, until I hear otherwise.

The Winds that Move the Worlds

That's fantastic. Just the sort of title that would have drawn me to pick up the book even if I'd never read THS.

Well, I can only hope that the folks at HarperCollins come around to your way of thinking, because I'd really like that to be the title.

Holy smoke Teressa. I'm a bit slow on the uptake and only now had the chance to view the cover for Book 2. That's a heck of an example of good cover art, probably amongst the best dozen I've seen in 2006.

I've sadly got snowed under by my rather massive "to read" pile but your first book, which I've already got, is firmly on my radar for next month along with Gary Wassner's Twins.

The 2 fabulous German translations you gave me will probably have to wait to the latter part of 2006......:( but I'm really looking forward to reading some of the books of resident members here I must say!....:D

LOL, I know exactly how this feels. I have a ton of books I want to read right now, but nowhere near enough time...or money.

Oh, and I really like this cover! It's definitely an attention grabber.

OFF TOPIC: Yeh, although in my case the books are delivered and paid for, just a case of ploughing through them as excellent as they are.

Michael, did you ever send me those interview questions again? Because the last time I looked, I hadn't got them.

Thanks for asking, Teresa. I was wondering about that. I did send them right away, so I dont know what happened to them. I'll send them again now, and I'll get back to you to verify that you got them.

Thanks again!

EDIT: Done. I hope you get them this time!

OK, I found it. For some reason the spam filter was sending your email to the bulk mail folder.

Strange, because I thought the filter on that account wasn't even on.
